At the end of his 18 year semi-marriage, Master Zhen's ex-wife has stopped paying the bills and he's been evicted with no where to take his two kids and without utilities, he says he'll try to upload this last Tujunga podcast from the library...

Master Zhen reassures that when possible he will continure these Buddhism podcasts.

With many "thank yous," Master Zhen is appreciative for all the support he's received that has allowed him to pursue his Buddhist / Kung Fu / Tai Chi teaching programs and the opportunity to raise and homeschool his children since 1992. Master Zhen compares his 8 years in Tujunga to the 8 years Bodhidharma spent meditating at his cave at the Shaolin Monastery. "Hopefully the genesis of Buddha Kung Fu will be worth the 8 years I have spent here in Tujunga."

Master Zhen says that women can't plan their future because their bodies will defeat them.

Using examples and enlightenment from the movie, Curse Of The Golden Flower starring Chow Yun Fat, Master Zhen tells how the movie answered all his questions about why his marriages and family didn't work.

Discussing loyalty, filial piety, and Confucian concepts, Master Zhen explains that a family, a business, or an army operate under the same principles or failure will result.

Buddha Zhen criticizes Christians for giving Jesus alien zombie powers. Muslims are called, "women," if they believe in vengeance... People are called, "stupid," if they don't try to learn, and women are criticized for not obeying their husbands.

Master Zhen then rewrites the world's marriage vows to be, "Love, cherish, and protect," for the man and, "Love, honor, and obey," for the women.

"Zen Body"

Starting at his new Kung Fu school, www.BuddhaKungFu.com, Master Zhen bounces back to the shaolinZEN.org CyberTemple from a link on the Buddha Kung Fu homepage, "Zen Body."

Zen Buddhism was created by Bodhidharma from India. When Bodhidharma retired at the Shaolin Temple, he passed on his Indian Kung Fu, Kalaripayattu, to his Disciple, Hui Ke. This Kung Fu Buddhism was known as "Chan Buddhism" in China. When the Japanese monks came to the Shaolin Temple, they renamed it "Zen Buddhism" after returning to Japan. Although some Japanese temples tried to maintain the martial arts with their Buddhism, eventually this was stripped away in laziness, just as the Chinese practice Chan Buddhism without exercising also.

The origins of each religion appear to be the best version of each religion as humans add their greed and laziness to every religion they create.

January 2008 was the birth of Buddha Kung Fu. Created by Master Zhen Shen-Lang from the preexisting curriculums of Shaolin Chi Mantis Traditional Buddhist Gongfu schools, the goal of Buddha Kung Fu is to create more Buddhas.

"My Buddhism was prominent in all my Kung Fu and Tai Chi classes," explains Master Zhen, "Spirit Wolf of Truth." "Now, it's nice to promote Buddhism in the title of my school."

Master Zhen discusses the origins of Kung Fu and Zen Buddhism by founder, Bodhidharma. Kalaripayattu may have been the East Indian martial art that began Zen Buddhism at the Shaolin Temple in China.

Sneaking in during American Zen's recording sessions for their upcoming album, LEVEL 3 = I WANT YOU TO LOVE ME, Master Zhen gives a brief update on his school activities.

After watching a Public Television show about the "plastic mind," Master Zhen points out that this plastic mind concept was invented by Bodhidharma when he created Zen Buddhism. Criticizing the Shaolin Buddhist Monks for being lazy, Bodhidharma created a series of 18 exercises which grew into Kung Fu, to strengthen and revitalize the monks.

Zen Buddhism requires exercise, or it's not Zen Buddhism.

Master Zhen explains that they've finished his TAI CHI MAGIC #1 CD, and how his new BUDDHA KUNG FU school is taking off "gangbusters..."

Master Zhen reads from the Shaolin Zen CyberTemple website, the "DONATIONS" webpage.

Master Zhen explains how Buddhism has always been a religion of donations and how Zen Buddhism was created by Bodhidharma after meeting the Chinese Emperor. His stories include the formation of Shaolin Zen, the creation of the nonprofit education organization, Tai Chi Youth, his grandmaster, Chiu Chuk Kai, who was the bodyguard of the Vietnamese President during the sixties and seventies, how his son was hunted by a Puma, his Shaolin monk spade, being bitten by a black widow spider and how he lost 55 pounds by attending his own Tai Chi classes at the YMCA.

Japanese Zen Buddhists will hopefully, not be offended by Master Zhen pointing out that "without exercise, Zen Buddhism has no Zen."

Master Zhen refers to himself as, "romantically foolish," then details how he has dedicated his life to helping others at the expense of losing his wife and children. "Whatever your life is, you realize there are ways you can think and things you can do to make your life better and to enjoy your life better." Tai Chi Kids programs are currently supported entirely by Master Zhen, but he wants to expand into multimedia with his students producing videos and music.

Master Zhen tells how after being bitten by a black widow spider he gained 55 pounds which he reduced by adding Tai Chi classes at the YMCA and how his kids have not benefited by his wife removing them from the programs when she divorced him. More examples include how he enjoys helping people for free but his collections of jade and Chinese instruments are in storage, previously supported by the NEA National Endowment for the Arts. Master Zhen's elementary school programs are remembered with a visit to www.BuddhaKungFu.com

Master Zhen gives special thanks to the Utah Chinese associations who supported and donated to him in the 1990s. "I just enjoy what I'm doing and realize I'm helping people. Whether I'm getting paid for it or not -- I still enjoy it, I especially enjoy the feeling I get from changing and improving people's lives..."

"I want to provide a traditional atmosphere..." begs Master Zhen who desires a school location to teach more students and keep youths out of trouble. He includes the story of one of his prison inmate students who credits Master Zhen with changing his life into a productive husband. Senior programs may also prolong and improve lives by reducing falling injuries, he explains. "By improving the balance and leg strength...less injuries, less bone breaks..."
