January 2008 was the birth of Buddha Kung Fu. Created by Master Zhen Shen-Lang from the preexisting curriculums of Shaolin Chi Mantis Traditional Buddhist Gongfu schools, the goal of Buddha Kung Fu is to create more Buddhas.
"My Buddhism was prominent in all my Kung Fu and Tai Chi classes," explains Master Zhen, "Spirit Wolf of Truth." "Now, it's nice to promote Buddhism in the title of my school."
Master Zhen discusses the origins of Kung Fu and Zen Buddhism by founder, Bodhidharma. Kalaripayattu may have been the East Indian martial art that began Zen Buddhism at the Shaolin Temple in China.
